Privacy policy

What we collect

• Your mobile number, to log you in with a one-time password (OTP).
• Details you choose to add to your profile: name, date of birth, gender, category, PwD and ex-serviceman status, state, education, email, alternate mobile number, district, city, PIN code, the exams you are preparing for and your target year, and a profile photo.
• Your answers in tests and daily practice, the time you take, and your scores.
• Your settings, such as language and reminder time, and a device token if you allow notifications.

Why we use it

• To log you in and keep your account secure.
• To score your tests, show your rank and percentile, and find your weak topics.
• To pick your daily practice questions and send the reminders you asked for.
• To estimate which government jobs you may be eligible for.
• To fix problems and improve questions (for example, a question most students get wrong is reviewed).

Who can see it

Other students never see your name, number or photo. Ranks and percentiles are worked out from scores without showing who scored what. PrayaasIQ's administrators can see account and test details to support you and run the service.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help run PrayaasIQ, such as the SMS provider that sends your OTP, the notification service, and our hosting provider, and only as needed for that service; or when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is open. You can delete your account yourself at any time from Profile → Delete my account (see the Delete your account page). That deletes your personal data straight away, except payment records, which tax law requires us to keep; they are kept without your name or number.

Your choices and rights

You can see and change your profile, and remove your photo, at any time from the Profile page. You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to erase it, by writing to us from the Contact page. India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 gives you these rights.

If you are under 18, please use PrayaasIQ with the consent of a parent or guardian.

Security

Your data is sent over encrypted connections and stored on secured servers. Login codes are stored only in a scrambled (hashed) form. No method is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will inform you as required by law if a breach affects you.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
